People have been familiar with the paleo diet since ancient times. Our hunter-gatherer ancestors’ were following this diet. Although we may not exactly know what foods people ate in some other parts of the world, according to researchers, their diet mainly included whole foods.

By consuming a whole-food-based diet with their physically active lives, most hunter-gatherers had much lower diseases based on the present-day lifestyle diseases, like obesity, heart diseases, and diabetes.

Several studies reveal that with this diet one can achieve significant weight loss and also major improvements in health.

Typically a paleo diet includes fish, lean meats, nuts, seeds, fruits, and vegetables as all these foods could be obtained while hunting. These foods also include dairy products, grains, and legumes too.
