Would you fancy Chinese or Japanese food?

Chinese and Japanese people have the highest competition when it comes to which cuisine is more favorable. Both are the most favored food of Asia when it comes to rice and noodles. These two may seem hard to differentiate; however, the differences definitely outweigh the similarities between the two dishes.
Based on the location, culture, availability of food, and climate, different cuisines from various regions arise. For example, Japan is an island, so it will not be a surprise that seafood is popularly eaten over here than in China. Also, Japan has a chilled climate, while China has weathers that favor the growth of a variety of crops. Thus, Chinese cuisines constitute more of vegetables over seafood. Like these, there are several more differences and we will discuss them below:
1) Japanese food tends to be lighter on the stomach as compared to Chinese, where heavy amounts of oils and spices like star anise, hot mustard, and five spice powders are used on a daily basis. The Japanese also favor raw food, making their dish healthier like the famous food, Sushi which includes raw fish. For instance, a popular Japanese restaurant in Dubai, the Sushi Express Cafe, includes many healthy options in their menu like the Miso Soup.
2) Both fancy tea as their post-meal drink for digestions. However, there is a slight variation in the two. Japanese people are fond of traditional green tea, while Chinese love their black tea. The restaurant, Sushi Express Cafe has changed this concept and added in green tea in their Japanese desserts, rather than the drink. Macha cheesecake and Macha ice cream are its popular dishes with a hint of green tea flavor.
3) As Japan is an island, seafood is mostly available than any other ingredient. Thus, people cannot live a day and cannot cook any dish without their seafood. Even their seasonings and toppings include them, for instance, Dashi, which is a powdered form of anchovies, tuna or sardines. They even commonly use sea vegetables like kelp or seaweed in their food preparations. Some of the popular dishes of Sushi Express are of seafood, like the Rock n Roll Shrimp. On the other hand, China is a vast landscape including grassland, desert, sea, and mountains. So, from area to area, the cuisine varies. However, poultry, beef, pork, and vegetables are more favored over seafood.
4) Coming to Japanese food, people all over the world enjoy Sushi and Ramen. While, in Chinese dishes, Dim Sums, wontons and dumpling are widely favored.
Now that the two are sorted, which do you prefer? Personally, I love seafood, so my vote goes to Japanese food. I recommend Sushi Express Cafe, which is one of the best restaurants in Dubai.
