What to Expect at Your First Gynecologic Appointment
Once you become sexually active or are 21 or older, you should start visiting the gynecologist for routine examinations. While you may not want to have another doctor’s appointment to schedule and may have questions about what to expect when seeing a Monroe gynecologist, this insight into a standard first visit can help ease some of your fears.
Medical History Report
Like any other appointment with a medical professional, you will need to fill out a detailed medical history report. Not only does it entail information about heart disease and other similar conditions, but you’ll also need to complete information regarding your sexual history, previous pregnancies, and any reproductive health issues you’ve suffered from in the past.
The practitioner will also want to know about your diet, height, weight, and overall well-being to help identify any potential problems. For instance, if you are overweight or underweight, it could stem from a hormonal imbalance.
Examination

STD Testing
