If you are planning to take a “pot” vacation to Colorado anytime soon, the best little town that you can go to is Trinidad Colorado. Not only do they have a plethora of shops where you can buy medicinal marijuana, but this town also has a lot going on.

All remodeled motels

Since they have all this new tourist traffic most of the motel in Trinidad Colorado has remodeled so there are plenty of places for you to stay. One of the best motels in Trinidad Colorado is Tower64 as they have all updated rooms as well as an RV park with loads of spaces. You can just park and then take day trips to see the sites.

Many places to stay

There are also plenty of places to stay in downtown Trinidad with lots to do and see. There is also a Trolley which is a great way to get a feeling for the historical district downtown without having to walk so much. The driver is funny and has some of the best stories about old Trinidad – this is perfect for those who are mobility challenged.

Brewery

There is also the Dodgeton Creek Brewing Company, which is an independent, traditional microbrewery located downtown. They have 8 beers on tap in their taproom, so it is a great place to go and sample all their beers and find your favorite. They are great at explaining the different types of beer and have customer service that is awesome. It is also a great place to meet locals who seem to use this as their gathering place.

Art Museum

Another place to visit is the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art – which is a true place of cowboy art. Mitchell is a painter of iconic western art featuring cowboys, horses, cattle and vast landscapes that will capture the hearts and minds of readers about the old west. This is a great collection, so you must visit.

Plenty to do and see

There is really plenty to do and see in downtown Trinidad Colorado – a town out of the old west. There is no need to fight the traffic in Denver – just stay in this historic town.
